🌱 FAQ & Resources 🌱

Here are answers to some common questions, along with helpful guidance to make tax season a little easier and less overwhelming.

📄 What documents do I need to file?

Most people will need forms like W-2s, 1099s, and any records related to income or expenses.

If you have dependents, childcare statements, education forms, or receipts may also be needed.

💡 When in doubt — keep it. It’s always better to have too much than not enough.

📅 When should I file?

As early as you’re ready. Filing sooner can help reduce the risk of identity theft and typically means you’ll receive your refund faster.

That said, it’s more important to file accurately than quickly — so don’t rush if you’re still gathering information.

💻 Do I need to report side income?

Yes — all income must be reported, even if it’s small or wasn’t formally documented.

This includes freelance work, side jobs, and online income.

Reporting everything upfront helps avoid issues later.

What if I’m not sure about something?

That’s completely normal — taxes can be confusing, especially when your situation changes.

You don’t have to figure it out on your own. You can always reach out and ask.
